  • Jan. 5, 6 & 7 — Logan Ice Extravaganza: The first weekend of the year, the streets of Logan, Ohio, the Gateway to the Hocking Hills, will be transformed into a winter wonderland.
  • Jan. 6 — Late Nite Logan: Come to the Logan Town Center, along Main Street, for a special evening of music, entertainment, children's activities, great sales and great food.
  • Jan. 20 — Cold Rushing Waterfalls Photography Workshop: This photography workshop by Hocking Hills Photographer, Eric Hoffman, is for all skill levels and features hands-on field photography. Call 740-380-2039 for details.
  • Jan. 20 — 42st Annual Winter Hike at Hocking Hills State Park. Enjoy winter's splendor on this 6 mile trek from Old Man's Cave to Ash Cave. Layered clothing and good footwear recommended. Refreshments available for a donation. Shuttle bus returns hikers to Old Man's Cave. Continuous starts from 9-11 a.m. 740-385-6841

Meet with the naturalist at the Old Man's Cave Visitor's Center for a strenuous hike that spans roughly 6 miles of the Grandma Gatewood trail.
